Coaches let it be known that under no CIRCUMSTANCES parents have no place on pitch apart from standing at side encouraging their own children.Any coach found to be letting parents supervise games will be open to disciplinary proceedings.

Equally well, we should enforce that a team provides enough coaching staff to actually fulfill their obligation to provide a referee for a half.

i think that the kids themselves should be allowed to ref the games at the younger age levels(u8s/u9s),having 2 sets of coaches on both sides of the pitch should be adequate enough, after watching some of the coaches/parents trying to referee the games we have been involved in the kids couldnt do any worse. Very Happy

It doesn't work - that's what they do in the FVFDA.
Kids have to learn to respect a referees decision whether it be right or wrong.
Having witnessed games I've seen some teams boss the game by quickly taking throwins regardless of whether it was theirs or not

Why have a specified referee when you could have one coach from each team on the park to keep the game flowing while being able to actually coach the kids in a game situation
